Welcome to Boilerplate Mag

Eminently readable, eminently shareable.

Boilerplate Mag is a new literary journal, founded in Melbourne Australia, on the land of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong/Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin.

We are looking for creative stories, creative non-fiction essays and poetry.

Stop scrolling, start reading.

Who is the Boilerplate Mag reader?

  • Someone who has ten minutes before a train arrives, and doesn’t want to spend it scrolling on Instagram or TikTok.

  • Someone who wants to read something, share it, and talk about it with a friend.

  • Someone who wants to see themselves and their own experiences represented on the page.

  • Someone who wants to learn something about the world.

  • Someone who wants to feel confused, exhilarated, challenged, worried, joyous, optimistic, angry, and the whole gamut of human emotion.

Boilerplate Mag is free to read. We ask that you engage with and share pieces that compel you. Email them to a friend. Text your family the link. Share a comment.
